Foaming at the mouth hypocrisy

There are legitimate sounding rationales to oppose health care reform and even more reasons to be concerned about the status quo but we tend to spend a lot of time on complete nonsense. Where's the party?

Who here has read Laura Flanders's Blue Grit? She makes the point that a party which only comes out at election time to try to win elections is weak compared to one that's seen as actively working for citizens at all times. The GOP succeed because they can call on churches; they're using the churches' credibility as a substitute for having their own. If Democrats intend to be just a secret society here, then we're conceding. We won't gain ground if we stay underground. Continue

I'm an English major and I'm reading a young adult novel by Chris Crutcher called Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes. Truly, it is appalling that so many individuals and parents want this book banned from schools. As a future teacher, I feel it will be my duty to bring truth to my students.
